Let's Chin Up ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email). We use this to create and identify your account.
Profile details you provide: During setup you can tell us the name you'd like to be called and your fitness starting point. Both are optional and can be skipped.
Content you import: When you import a workout video, we process the URL and any publicly available metadata (title, thumbnail, captions, audio transcript) from that video to generate a structured exercise guide. We store the resulting exercise data in your personal library, along with a copy of the video's thumbnail image so your library keeps working after the original link expires.
Workout activity: We store the routines and weekly plans you create, the workouts you complete, and related progress such as your garden's growth, so the app can show your plan and progress across devices.
Usage data: We collect basic information about how you use the app, such as which exercises you import and view. This includes a small, fixed set of in-app product events — for example that an import was attempted and whether it worked, which steps of setup you completed or skipped, and which points in the app led you to the subscription screen. These events are recorded against your account so we can see how the app is working in practice.
We use these events only to understand and improve Let's Chin Up. They are not used to track you. We do not use an advertising identifier, we do not follow you across other apps or websites, and we do not share this data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not collect precise location data, contacts, or payment information.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use the following third-party services to operate Let's Chin Up:
Video content is processed transiently — video files and transcripts are retrieved temporarily, shared with the AI providers above solely to generate your exercise guide, and deleted from our servers after processing. We do not permanently store raw video or audio files; only the generated exercise guide and the video's thumbnail image are kept in your library.
Your account data and exercise library are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual exercises from your library at any time within the app.
You can delete your entire account from inside the app at any time: More → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and your personal data. You may also contact us at the address below if you prefer.
Product events: The in-app product events described in section 1 are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically. If you delete your account, these records are anonymised rather than erased — the link to your account is removed, leaving a record that identifies no one. We keep them in that form so that usage totals we have already counted for past months stay accurate.
Let's Chin Up is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage via Supabase and secure token-based authentication through Apple Sign In. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
